Terms of Service
Last updated: July 20, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ShareMyCard ("the Service") operated by ShareMyCard ("we", "our", or "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Use of the Service
You may use ShareMyCard to create and share a digital business card. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
2. Your Content
You retain ownership of the content you submit (your name, contact details, photos, and other profile information). By submitting content, you grant us a limited licence to store, display, and distribute it as part of providing the Service — for example, showing your public profile page and generating your Wallet pass.
You agree not to submit content that:
- Is false, misleading, or impersonates another person or organisation
- Infringes any third-party intellectual property rights
- Contains malware, spam, or any harmful code
- Violates any applicable law or regulation
3. Content Standards and Moderation
Because cards created with the Service are distributed to other people's devices — including their lock screens and digital wallets — all card content (including names, titles, taglines, status messages, broadcast messages, logos, and images) must not contain obscene, profane, hateful, harassing, or otherwise objectionable material, as determined by us at our sole discretion.
You acknowledge and agree that:
- Content you submit may be automatically screened by moderation systems at any time;
- We may, at our sole discretion and without prior notice, edit, censor, mask, or remove any content that violates these standards — including pushing updated (censored) versions of your card to devices where it has already been saved;
- We may suspend the public availability of any card, or suspend or terminate the associated account, for violations of these standards;
- We are under no obligation to pre-screen content, and our failure to remove particular content does not constitute approval of it.
4. Public Profiles
Your profile page and Wallet pass are publicly accessible via your unique card URL. Do not include sensitive personal information (such as passwords, financial details, or private identification numbers) in your card content.
5. Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time via the Account Settings page. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our sole discretion.
When your account is deleted (by you or by us), the following happens:
- Your personal information — name, contact details, photos, logos, social links, status, and broadcast messages — is permanently removed from our systems;
- Your public card page, shareable links, and QR code stop working immediately;
- Copies of your card already saved to other people's Apple Wallet or Google Wallet are sent a final update marking them expired and removing your personal information from them. We cannot remotely delete a pass from another person's device — wallet platforms do not allow it — so an expired, emptied card may remain on a holder's device until they remove it themselves;
- A minimal, anonymized technical record (containing no personal information) is retained so that saved wallet passes can continue to receive the "expired" state.
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
6. Service Availability
We strive to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with reasonable notice where practicable.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or available at any particular time.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ShareMyCard shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will update the "Last updated" date when changes are made.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which ShareMyCard operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
